Online, and we go through the figures properly before you commit to anything. We also work out whether you film in the Pretoria studio or remotely.

Your first brief goes out. You are on a monthly retainer from there.

Questions people ask before they apply
Do I need a following?
No, and that is the point. Brands are not buying your audience. They are buying your face, your voice, and your ability to say a line like you mean it. The follower count was never what was being bought.
Why do brands need so many videos?
A big brand does not run one advert any more. They run hundreds, keep the ones that work and throw the rest away. That means they need new video constantly, more than they can make in house, so they buy it in batches. That is the job.
What equipment do I need?
In the Pretoria studio, nothing. Filming remotely, a decent setup and an iPhone 14 or newer. Anything older has no stabiliser and the footage comes back shaky.
Do I need to know how to edit?
No. Send us the raw clip.
What if I have never done this before?
Most people have not. You need to be comfortable talking to a camera on your own. Everything else comes from us.
Whose name is on the work?
The brand's, not yours. Most of this work carries a brand's name. If what you want is to be famous, this is the wrong job and we would rather say so now than three weeks in.
Is this a real company?
Yes. [Registered entity name], registration number [number], run by Robert and Charlton out of Pretoria. Our email is on the lokeyhookd.com domain, not a free one. Search that registration number on CIPC yourself. We would rather you did.
Do I ever pay you anything?
No. Not for training, not for equipment, not for a starter kit, not to apply. Money only ever moves from us to you. Anyone in this industry asking you to pay to get started is running a scam, and that includes anyone using our name.
Does the money go up?
Yes. Creators who deliver on time, take feedback well and make content the brand wants to rebook get sent more work and better rates. That is not a promise, it is how this industry treats reliable people.
What happens to my details?
Your name, email and WhatsApp number come to us by email and go nowhere else. We do not sell them and we do not add you to a list. Ask us to delete them and they are gone. We never ask for your ID number, your bank details or your home address, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
